Cry Yorkie Poo Crying

My Boston is only 10 weeks old I just got him on Saturday. We are working on the potty training lol. He is my first pet and I can say I'm kind of obsessed with him already. I want to keep him in the room and bed with me but he had an accident on his first night with us and pooped on my husband's side of the bed. He was not happy. He got over it fast though since Boston's previous living residence was horrible so we were afraid he wouldn't go potty at all. We set him up a little blocked off area in the kitchen with a bed for him to sleep, and he has been screaming bloody murder since then. I feel so bad for leaving him in there by himself. His little whines are getting to me. I even try to wake up early just so he doesn't have to be in there long. Ridiculous I know. Is this normal for him to whine so badly since I do hold him every time he naps.
