Hey guys!
I have a teacup yorkie, currently 9 years old.
Im getting really worried about him, The thing is, he smells really bad ( vet said its a skin infection and gave us a special shampoo which we are using and so far it doesnt help), he doesnt want to eat (he has been on human food for a long period now but vet advised that he needs to eat dog food even if he doesnt want to and that i need to starve the dog even for 4 or 5 days if neceseary, giving him only dog food and nothing else.), he has lost weight and is very thin and slim, I think the vet gave me a bad advice and I made 4 dishes for my dog today, I cooked him meat without spices, have him a bowl of dog food, a plate of ordinary weenie(not dog food) and another plate of human dish. He barely touched any. He drinks alottttt of water lately. He doesnt want to go for walks, I literally have to carry him outside, put him down (he pees where I put him down and sometimes doesnt even lift his leg) and when he is done i need to carry him back to the house. Inside he is completely without life and just sleeps all the time and does nothing, I honestly forgot the sound of his bark.
We had a teeth operation done on him approx a year ago when he smelled bad and our vet said its because of teeth, so they pulled out his teeth and now he only has the 4 large ones left.
I'm starting to think our vet is an amateur guy but nobody else has problems with this vet and there are no other vets arround here.
Please reply if you know anything I can do to help my little yorkie
