When does he cough? After drinking, playing, etc? My Lexi has coughed after drinking since I brought her home at 13 weeks old. She doesn't cough every time she drinks, but usually a couple times a day. She will also cough when she pulls when being walked, even when using a harness. I took a video of it to the vet and she said it does sound tracheal, but not necessarily a collapse. She did say that it is possible that it could turn into a tracheal collapse one day, but there is no way to know for use. She may just cough like this the rest of her life and not get worse. I also had a neighbor whose dog coughed after drinking his entire life and it never got any worse.
