Nutrical is a lot different then just sugar water. Being diabetic as well as my mom being diabetic and my uncle I am going by what happens in that sence, but like I said nutrical has more in it then just sugar so technically your vet didn't say sugar water was ok they said nutrical was. You also risk the puppy not drinking regular water without the sugar.
