Best wishes- I try to count placentas but in the commotion of birthing I sometimes lose track. As Yorkiemom1 said, letting her eat a couple is good, but she will make mess from eating too much of that good thing. Good luck, keep the babies warm between births. It's taken me many years to learn my girls want me within arm's reach when they're whelping, but the past few litters I've been a little less "hands on" with good results. Step in when Mom is obviously not doing her job, otherwise just be there for comfort and to supply clean bedding.
