I have been raising Yorkie puppies for a VERY long time...I ADD yogurt to the formula I have occasion to supplement a puppy, for whatever reason....but that is NOT enough nutrition to provide to a baby to grow on. (The REAL reason you feed the yogurt is because yogurt can help restore flora to the intestine....when a baby is stressed out, as one that is underage and being forced weaned would be, it is possible the baby will break with coccidia, resulting in liquid diarrhea, which left untreated for more than 24 hours can kill a baby,.....some breeders will give yogurt with the hope that it will prevent this from happening.
Who exactly is this Texas breeder that illegally sold this baby to you, and then instructs you to feed it 3 times a day? If your vet is not familiar with the laws in the State of Texas when it comes to selling puppies, well, it just would concern me with other areas of knowledge he may not be right up to date on......especially feeding a growing puppy 3 times a day???......but hey, congratulations on your puppy.....I strongly suggest you invest in 2 books that are chock full of priceless information about Yorkies...."Yorkies For Dummies" and "Yorkshire Terriers: A Smart Owners Guide"....both are available on Amazon.com.........Perhaps reading these two excellent sources of information will help you provide for this baby.
