If I'm understanding your question correctly, you're asking if your pup will still sit and lay down without a treat? If that's what you are asking, then yes he will. The way I taught my Chloe tricks is by making sure she knows them first and treating every time - then, I started to move on to do tricks in order and only when she completed the sequence is when she'd get a treat. For example, I'd do: sit, down, turn, high five - treat. I also tell her the words that I've taught her during the day so she knows them well. She gives me high fives for example without any treats and sits, etc. Just keep repeating the tricks until your pup understands them really well.
