Our yorkie had an inguinal hernia when she's 2 months old and got it fixed at 2 1/2 m/o before she came home with us, recovery was very fast and there's no scar on her tummy, the vet told us to keep an eye on her til she was 8 m/o so in case of it reappearing, he'd fix it when performing the spay but thank God, it never came back.
