Default a lunp my 13 year old yorkie gas on his back area

HI all,
I am new to the site and hope I might find some answers..my yorkie coco is going to be 13 in march he has recently formed a blackish almost wart lump near his butt area..any ideas? I did have him at the vet and she gave me a I am not sure..which I didn't believe she was the owner and the surgeon how do you not know and tell me you have never seem it before that is what made me not trust what she was saying..this isn't my regular vet I was here due to our great dane stepping on coco's back leg and breaking it at the beginning of summer and having two plates and 6 screws in his lil back leg before this coco has been a trooper and very healthy only to the vet for his reg check ups.. but this injury has really taken its toll on him last week one of the screws started to back out and was coming through his skin..my heart broke the vet took that out then two days later the top plate started to come through the skin as well...this poor lil guy...I brought the lump up to her during the first vist she told me if she had to take out more of the plate she would remove the spot she never did..now I wonder did she not because its cancer???? I have to bring coco back dec 30th to have the stiches removed and plan on revisitng the lump...I have tried to research up with nothing..but what scares me is once he has the issue with screw backing out he has lost weight..and almost seems like he had a stroke..he is not himself...he is breaking my heart..anyone have a clue whats gong on?
thank u in advance
Kim
