Max had dark stripes on his head called 'thumbprints,' which includes a stripe up the center of the topknot and one on each side of the head. He didn't lose those until he was 3. That is when he went pure blond on top.
Teddy had a white blond head as a pup. He turned gold at age 3.
It is fun watching them change.
I should do a timeline of photos.
