As I understand it, the Yorkie standard says they should have erect ears and tails docked mid length...although docking is now banned in some countries. However. Some ears don't stand, some tails get docked too short., some tails are full length and not docked at all. I have three Yorkies, two have ears that don't stand, one has a too short docked tail, one has a full tail, and one has a tail docked at mid length and ears that stand. I love them equally, and could not care less...but...I don't show them so conformation to the standard is not important...Yorkie kisses are!
