Hair color can change to a degree throughout the Yorkie's lifetime, but the biggest changes to adult colors depends on the dog's genetics. My boys were 3 years old before they achieved the colors they are today. Mainly their heads changed from age 2 to 3, becoming the almost pure gold blond.
Teddy's saddle is growing lighter all the time.
Growth also depends on genetics. My boys are brothers and had late growth spurts at 11 months in height and length.
