Potty training: keep his pad close by at all times. If he has to jump into the xpen, try putting one outside the pen. If he pees where he should not, say "Uh oh." When he gets it right, praise and give a food reward.
For separation anxiety: work on leaving him for 5 minutes and gradually increase the time. You can do this in the course of a few hours in one day. Establish a schedule and he will fall into the routine.

Thanks Kristin, I've got a puppy pad outside of his pen now. I'm definitely going to start working on the anxiety. I plan on going back to work next month and don't want him or Billi stressing out while I'm gone.
