 Has this happened to anyone?
we recently went to the vet to get our 1 year old yorkies baby teeth extracted because they weren't falling out. After our vet ran the blood work before putting her under anesthesia they called and said one of her blood works came back too high and there might be an issue with her liver. we ran a bile acid test and her tests came back high, our vet said that she was sure our little baby had a liver shunt. So we did some research and found Dr. Tobias at UT and made an appointment to take her in for surgery a few weeks later. When we got to Tennessee Dr. Tobias did an ultrasound and another test and she said that our Penny doesn't have a shunt but she probably has MVD and they wanted to do a biopsy to be sure. Well yesterday they called and said that Penny's liver is perfectly healthy and that they weren't really sure what was going on, so I was wondering has anyone had a high bile acid test but with a perfectly healthy liver? |
