Yes!
You literally, screw the antennae to the base. Unhook the cable cord from the tv and hook the antenna cord in its place. Extend the arms of the antenna and then scan for channels. The time it took to scan for channels was the longest part of the whole process. So easy!
I too was paying $100 for basic cable which just provided the same local channels I can now get, plus shopping & religious channels that I would never watch. ($130 for basic plus, $160 to get any channels I'd actually want to watch like HGTV, $200for premium package to get the football/soccer channel, HBO, Showtime, etc. that I'd like to have). I couldn't justify the cost for just me, who worked so much.
This antenna is great! Wish I'd discovered it earlier!
