I give Healthy Mouth w/ every meal and then I also use Wysong's Dental Sprinkle (Amazon) on each meal. I don't brush teeth. I also give chews....RMBs, CET, Munchy Stix, Honest Kitchen Beams, and a few others.
Honestly, my experience has been that dental issues/dental health is super related to genetics...in both humans and dogs.
My Wylie (who has SO many health issues) just had his first dental at age 10! His vet always said he didn't need one bc his teeth looked so wonderful...but this last year he had a couple back teeth that were looking a bit funky - so those were yanked during his recent dental, but that was all.
