When I started this roll over training I started with the kibble, then switched over to the cut beans a few days ago. Yesterday I started with the fresh raw carrot, just small peice, that he chewed, the cut beans he swallows, no chewing. I was concerned about to much fiber food, but didn't know that can cause gastro issues. I check his poop all the time, for firmness, moisture, worms. I will try french cut beans next week see how that woks, His stool is firm with the cut beans, just was passing a full bean seed. I'll continue the carrots for now, I guess if he starts to pass excessive gas is an indication all veggies should be stopped. | Most Yorkies seem to do okay with the veggies, but some are sensitive like my boys and have issues like loose stools or gas -- not passing the gas is the problem. Max was writhing in pain one night because he had a buildup of gas, and Teddy we took to the ER once because he was crying and yelping. We thought he had injured his back, but it was gas. That is why I always tell people to take it slow when introducing veggies and just be aware.
