Good afternoon All! Milo has not been exhibiting any other signs or symptoms whatsoever; eating, drinking, pee, poop, and overall activities have been the same. The belly bulge was not getting bigger, but not getting smaller, either. He seemed fine; no signs of distress at all, but I couldn't handle it anymore. I took him to the vet and had some x-rays and labs run. The vet removed 2.2 lbs of clear fluid from his little belly. We also did an abdominal scope. Long story short, he was diagnosed with Lymphangiectasia. It can (and will) be treated with a low-fat diet, steroid pills, and vitamin injections. Since he was just diagnosed, we are in the early stages of seeing how he reacts to treatment. I ask all of you yorkie lovers for prayers for my little 7 year old Milo. Thank you so much! I believe he will be fine; but, prayers do help! |
