I'm no expert on the subject but I can tell you what as worked for me. Here goes. I don't let him have run of the house. That means I keep him confined to the area I'm in the most. I have gate's up in keep him in the room. I have a ex pen I put him in when I'm out of the room or out of the house. I take him out often. He now goes to the door and barks when he wants out, it's funny because if he gets alone in another room he will have a accident but never does when I'm in the room. Good luck and congratulations on your new yorkie.
