Allergies can be SO frustrating! I hope you find something that works for her.

I just want to say that giving steroids can be necessary and can be used with minimal to no issues. My Georgie who passed this past year an old man, took Temeril P for many many years without any problems at all. When he was having bouts of severe allergies, the med was increased and then, when he was doing better, the med was decreased. It managed him fairly well. I tried other things and they simply did not work.

Steroids ideally should be given every other day so that the adrenals still function. I always tried to do that with George....then when he had flares, I would increase. I just wanted to add this because many people are so afraid to use steroids and sometimes they are very necessary.
