Animal Smiley 019 Hope i did the right thing..

Hello there to all from West Virginia..I am a new Yorkie owner but not new to animals..

I will give my situation and see what you all think..I am a mother of 2 girls and a grandmother of 3 one teenage girl and 2 small boys.

My husband is a retired teacher and is a Football coach for 38 years which he still coaches..we have 1 dog (maltese) 2 birds (parrolet and sun conure) 2 fish tanks..lol

My youngest daughter got a yorkie for Christmas a year ago and have been unable to potty train her. Her and husband just hasnt seen eye to eye on the situation and she wasnt to get new carpet without any success of the dog going to the bathroom other than on carpet..she was going to sell the dog and the good mother and grandmother i am ( haha) i told her i would try and take her..

She seems to be a very sweet little dog around 3 or 4 lbs give or take..I hope i didn't bite off more than i could chew but i guess time will tell.

She poops on the pads but will not pee..So since i got her yesterday (trying to keep her in the family) i have been taking her outside..mixed up i know but i have to try and train her somehow..

Our maltese dog goes on the pee pads but will also go outside if you take her for a walk..

I have been reading today where yorkies are very hard to potty train...I belong to the forums on birds, fish, and the maltese forum and they have always helped with good advice..

If any of you have any to offer i would appreciate it..thanks so much and i look forward to this site to make friends and share stories...Sure hope i done the right thing...
