It sounds more like she is scenting something. She could be scenting the smell of mice inside or out, termites in the walls/attic, or anything different in the house that has her unsettled due to it being a very different type of scent than she is familiar with. Do you have any special Christmas scented potpourri, scented pet toys, oils or spices, gift foods or something to be wrapped or already wrapped that she is picking up on? Sometimes just a leak of food from a can or a container of food that has popped open in the cupboard can drive a dog nuts. Or sometimes leaks in appliances or pipes are picked up by dogs.
I'd try leading her around the house, close to the cupboard, fridge, dishwasher, water heater, furnace, storage areas/units, along all the walls, inside and out, to see if she "hits" on anything.
