When Remy was neutered and had 4 baby teeth pulled a few months ago our vet gave me syringes with the liquid pain meds already measured out for him. I think I only ended up giving him a couple of doses because he was running around, eating and playing as if nothing was done. Every animal is different and he may not be in as much pain as we think they should be especially since he is eating fine.
