I'm assuming this is frank bright red blood, correct? Not black and tarry? If bright red, it means there is irritation in the lower tract, possibly from something eaten. Since you're going to the vet, try to save a stool sample ahead of time in a little plastic bag so they can see what's going on and what you're seeing at home. In all likelihood, it's nothing or something just minor. Did you change foods or treats or anything?
