 Sugestions Please
My little Prada is going through her first heat cycle at 10.5 months. Now before you say WHY SHE'S NOT SPAYED, I'll tell you why. Prada had to have an expensive sujury bout two months ago so I couldn't do both.
My question is, how do I keep her safe from my male dog? I been taking turns keeping them caged because he's hunting her like prey. He will follow her none stop when I let them out (watching them of coarse). He has also gotten aggressive with us if we touch Prada. He has bitten my son and daughter ( no broken skin) and has tried to bite me twice. This is VERY unusual because my Polo is the sweetest lil Maltese ever. It's Prada that's the wild one. Is this natural behavior for a male dog to act around a female in heat? Oh yeah I've been putting Prada on onesies also just to be extra careful. Is there anything else I can do? |
