Default Advice on my puppies stringy coat!

Hello everyone! I am a new member and you may have seen my posting that introduced our newest member of the family, Mac!

Mac our new morkie, and is just over 10 weeks old. I am new to the breed and did a little research on grooming and such. In the last couple of weeks, his hair will seriously look stringy 5 minutes after brushing, and shortly after bathing.

He does have a very thin coat that I can't catch with a comb at all and had to buy a soft baby brush. After doing some reading hear, I feel lucky that his hair doesn't tangle. He could really go days without being brushes and we'd have no problems.

On top of that, his coat has become very shiny, and combined with the stringy almost makes him look too greasy? I am tired of my fiance saying I need to give him another bath! lol. I've gathered that it has to do with his coat type.

I'd think his hair wouldn't get stringy as quickly if I was using some better product. Thanks in advance!
