I know what you mean!
After My Chelsea died, I didn't want another dog. I was convinced I could never love another dog like I did her. I went three years without a dog.
During that time, my daughter went away to college, and then my son. I was alone in my home. My kids decided i needed company and should get another dog...i wasn't sure. I took a few weeks to really think about it. I decided to give it a go, and ZoE came into my life
. I don't know what I was thinking waiting so long! I am so glad to have her in my life.
Congratulations on welcoming Sophie into your lives. It sounds like she is very lucky to have found such a caring home.
