Hi! I'm new here, but I've been searching for another puppy for a very long time. I went back and forth between Maltese and Yorkies, and right now I'm looking for either, because who knew finding an honest reputable breeder would be so impossible?

I live in Los Angeles, yet the only breeders I found wouldn't even talk to me unless I had $3500-6000 in my pocket ready to fork over that day! I was completely blown away. I know yorkies and maltese are expensive dogs, but I'd like to pay around $1200 or under. I really think this is reasonable considering I'm only looking for a pet and don't plan on breeding.

I would really really love a female, on the smaller end, around 3.5 - 5 lbs.

I started my search on the internet and I thought I was being really careful, I asked plenty of questions, kept in contact, and then I had a Maltese breeder run away with my $500 deposit. She ignored me once she had my deposit and I never heard from her again

I found out plenty of dirty secrets about the next breeder I had talked to from another forum, she was a puppy broker and involved with puppy mills and was suspended from the AKC.
The next 2 breeders sent me fake photos I had found on another Yorkie website and lied to me about every thing I had ever asked and gave me fake referrals. I've been lied to, stolen from, ignored, given the run around, and this has been going on for 2 months now. I'm all ready to give up

So to make a long story short...do any reasonable, responsible, healthy, honest Yorkie breeders exist out there that could help me out with finding a female Yorkie???
