I think knowing how old the puppy is would be useful as the general rule is that puppies can hold their bladder one hour for every month of age. I would warn that this applies to puppies in general, not individuals, and Yorkies bladders are smaller than dogs in general.
Sleeplessness will pass. However, training and sacrifice is what you sign up for when bringing a puppy home! All of the inconvenience is worth it when the AHA moment happens! |
Absolutely! I forget that some people use carriers to crate their dogs....I have those x-pens for unsupervised times during the day, with pee pads placed in them for access if baby has to go. During the night, all my dogs are "crated" in those large LifeStages wire crates, about 28" x 38" large, and I have pee pads across the bottom of that crate as well.....bed on one corner, food and water next to bed, and the rest of the crate has a pee pad for potty area.
