I have a lot of experience w/ allergy dogs, and we use a Vet Dermatologist, which is an absolute God send!
What meds have you tried so far? There are OTCs to try, Atopica, Apoquel, Temaril-P, allergy testing and shots/drops. To me, it sounds like your kiddo's allergies are truly affecting his quality of life, so he really does need to either be on medication and/or do the allergy testing.
I feel for you bc treating allergies is just miserable!
