Default Found a yorkie in my neighbor's yard

I found a yorkie in my neighbor's yard, but no tags, no collar, nothing. He's pretty matted up, but it has been rainy the last couple of days and I know how easy it is for a pup to get matted in these kind of conditions. I loaned my neighbor Cookie's crate so that she could catch the pup, and she is holding onto him now. I went down the block to the house where the guy whose yorkie always escapes lives, but it wasn't his pup. He told me a woman down the street has a yorkie that looks a lot like his, so I'm going to check with her pretty soon when she gets in.

Anyone have any idea where is the best place to look for lost dog ads? I checked craigslist and there seemed to be nothing matching this pup. Should I check with local shelters? I'm going to give my neighbor the contact info for Chris' Rescue Angles if they need to turn the pup over, because I don't want to see him in the pound. But their daughter really wants a yorkie badly (she is in love with Cookie!), so they might just end up keeping the pup if no one answers the ads they're going to put up.
