Hi there... Barney had the lateral suture repair. He was walking very well at five weeks but then had a complication - he tore his repair. I think he did a pivot around my kitchen island and just jammed the knee but I don't know for sure what "event" caused his nylon suture to tear. Everyone was pretty surprised that the tear broke - and his clamps were in place on the bones. Laxity can occur but a full tear of a suture is not common. I have bad luck though so it happened to me . Anyway, his procedure had to be redone and another LS procedure was done. He recovered very well and we've had no problems since. Here are some of his old threads if you want to see some of our journey! He is doing great, he walks runs and jumps perfectly. I used a boarded ACVS surgeon.
