 Potty Training Help
Hello all!
I'm new to the boards with our very first yorkie puppy. Bailey is 10 1/2 week old and just came to live with us yesterday. We are crate training her and she's taken to it like a pro. She slept 6 hours last night!
My problem is trying to get her to potty. She was using potty pads with her parents before she left and though we want to train her outside, we decided to go ahead and stick with the pads for now. The difficulty is, she won't use it! She has gone on it twice. I know she has to go. When I let her out of the crate, and carry her to the pad, she sniffs and circles, then promptly lays down. If i step away, she walk away from the pad, sniff and circle and squat. I make a slight noise which startles the stream, pick her up, and move her back to the pad. Nothing. She just lays down.
Of course I'd like to her to go potty on the pad, but more importantly, I'm worried about her because she has not gone much at all.
Any help would be much, much appreciated!
