Being that he weighs 3 lbs at 7 weeks how big do you all suppose he will get? I have a feeling he'll easily exceed 8 lbs. Additional information that may or may not be helpful:
-His sister from a previous litter is now a 9 lb. adult.
-His mom is a Toy Poodle
-His legs aren't long in fact they're pretty short. Overall, he has a stocky frame. |
It is anyone's guess. They are dealing with totally different gene pools. Your pup is very young and already 3lbs so I would not be expecting a tiny adult. It is very common for breeders to give such an estimate since most of their customers are wanting smaller dogs. Toy Poodles generally are not as small as a Yorkie of standard size. Sounds like your pup tends to have the Poodle frame.
