[It is also important to understand that the Biewer is NOT and American Breed. This is a dog that originated in Germany and is in many parts of Europe and other areas of the world. What a small group of Americans do or think has little significance to what the rest of the world does. The majority of the world believes the Biewer ala Pom Pon is a pure bred dog that comes from a yorkie. Many still breed back to the yorkie, however in this country, many breeders believe in breeding only Biewer to Biewer.
