Try coconut oil, both inside ie a tsp given in dog food and outside on the hair. Coat the oil right to the hair shafts and right to the tips, then I would use a wrapping jacket (silk or satin) over her hair before putting on wool sweaters, jackets, coats etc.


Do this coating of coconut oil for two weeks or so. Then wash and condition as you regularly would. But it might come down to, if you allow her to sleep over warm air vents as my Razzman loves to do, you might need to trade off a bit of greasy hair with no tangles versus luscious soft hair with lots of matts n tangles.
