I picked Emma up the same day but we didn't go to a our regular vet. Our regular vet does over night for animals she spays but we went to the spay/neuter clinic which was much cheaper and I was able to donate a little because I had some extra. And then my insurance covered the full cost were I would have had some out of pocket with my regular vet.
Not sure if there is any added value. But as others have mentioned, its important to ask if there will be someone there overnight. If not does it truly make sense to keep the pet at the vet.
