Your pup needs to see the vet. Max had a sore throat once. He was gagging so hard I thought he was choking and we took him to the ER. He required an antibiotic to recover.
The sooner you see the vet, the better. Small problems can grow into bigger problems. He is in pain if he is refusing his regular hard food.
