After reading countless threads on this board, I'm convinced Yorkies just do what they want.

I have some days where Lucy is a perfect angel; lets me know when she needs to go outside for poo or pee, and otherdays where I step in a puddle of pee on my way back from cleaning up a half-eaten indoor poo.

It's beyond frustrating, but I'm fairly certain short of crating her 24/7 except for the times we go out to potty, there's no way to ensure consistent potty training - no matter what age they are or what their background of abuse/neglect or privilege.

I know this sounds defeatest, but I've yet to read of anyone who has a perfectly potty trained Yorkie. I have tile floors, so as long I can see it before I step in it, i call it a victory.
