upset and need advice please! Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. I have a 15 month old male yorkie or so I thought. He's very light in color, silvery on his back although the roots are darkening up and his head and legs are a pale blond, the top of his head is almost white with his ears a darker tan. He weighs just about 6 pounds and his coat is silky but thin, although it is starting to come in thicker. Here's the problem....I just got back from the vet where I dropped him off to have a retained tooth taken out. The woman (tech?) took him back, I heard someone ask her what kind of dog he was, she answered a yorkie and I heard the woman say he's funny looking and probably a mix! They obviously didn't know I heard them so I waited for her to come back and I told her I heard what she said. The woman told me she thought my dog was a mixed breed. I love my dog like he's my child so I don't care what he is, but I paid a thousand dollars for him and his papers say he's a yorkie. She said it's not uncommon for that to happen, so I told the woman that he looked just like other yorkies when he was a puppy, black and tan but at about 6 months old he started really lightening up. She insisted he was a mix of some kind but she would ask the veternarian. Now I'm not sure if I should call the breeder or what I should do. Can anyone give me advice as to how to proceed? |
