I had a female yorkie who I raised about 5 litters off of. Both she and my male had long coats, but as she got older she began throwing at least 1 short coated pup in each litter. Since i am trying to improve my coat quality in my pups. I retired her, and didn't retain any of her offspring for breeding. Before this happened to me, i was not aware of any one having this problem.
