Cookie's hair grows really slowly and it's a silky coat, so I never take any length off her coat, and just trim up her bangs, ears, and peepee area. I love the longer coat.
Minnie had a more cotton coat that got matted too easily when long, so I kept her shaved short. She looked great in the short cut (much better than long).
