I'm in Manitoba and we've had winter thrust upon us We're up to about 3" of snow and the windchill this morning was -20c. Bit of a shock to poor little Dexter! We discovered back when it started to get colder in the fall, Dex was pretty shivery the first couple of outings, but he seemed to adapt. Now that we're beginning the next season, he's balking again at going outside, but we've been bundling him up (flannel pj's under a down jacket, haven't been able to find boots in his size yet) and taking him for several short walks a day. I'm trying to make it fun and positive each time, and each walk he's becoming a little more enthusiastic. Plus he's managing to 'take care of business' while we're out. He's still shooting me little 'WTF Mum, this stuff is COLD' looks, but he seems to be adapting We're trying to problem solve how we'll cope during the REAL cold snaps of -40 and below...I'd be ok with a pee pad corner, but the little stinker thinks those are chew toys
