Keep vacuuming and cleaning your house daily for awhile to get rid of flea/eggs. Wash your dog's bedding as often as possible.
What is the pill the vet gave you? Is it a flea preventative/killer?
Continued red spots might be an indication that your dog is still be bitten by fleas. My Teddy is highly allergic to the bites. We have a topical med that we got from the vet. I haven't found any home remedies that take the itchiness out of the bites and that are safe to put on a dog, especially where they might lick and ingest it.
