I'll bet he kind of strutted around for the rest of the day! Isn't it amazing that Yorkies haven't been bred for their rodent-killing tendencies for what - almost a century or so - and yet how much of that killer-instinct remains intact all these generations later. And it's not a pure canine-prey thing because we all know not every dog out there would have even tried to chase that rabbit, let alone caught and dispatched it with efficiency. |
Amazing yes, I have been saying this for years, still little hunters. My past girl if she caught a scent of a rodent and was on the hunt or stalking it, would refuse to come in and eat in fear the critter would get away lol, she was a mighty hunter, thank goodness all she ever caught was one lil mouse in her 17 years.
