There are many larger yorkies out there, my girl now past weighed in at 17 lbs. She was 100 % pure yorkie, AKC registered. I thought she was an odd ball until I joined YT and saw so many pups that were in her weight range. All my past girls weighed between 10 to13 lbs, my last one was the biggest, the smartest and the most beautiful with a beautiful sleek body and awesome personality. She was so big many ppl questioned her breed, I love the small 5 to7 lbs babies, but prefer the larger ones, my lil adopted boy weighs in at 13 Lbs. DNA is a good idea to "just" satisfy your curiosity.
