So sorry to hear about your mom, the poem is beautiful. My aunt who raised me, was closer then a best friend or sister could ever be, Nov. 22 will be one year she is gone. Not a day goes by that she is not in my thoughts. I hope you don't mind if I keep this poem in memory of her.
You are very courageous to be able to visits animal shelters and walk out empty handed lol, I am to weak, I would take all those poor lil babies home. I can understand about the no $ return if things didn't work out between Gucci and a new dog. I think a younger dog would be good for your boy, give him extra energy as he displayed on that walk. Conner is also a sweet looking lil guy. It's wonderful you are considering adopting another lil furbutt, so many sweet babies out there looking for a loving home, and you are a great adventurous dad.
