My dog sophie broke her front leg in Sept of this year and after having her leg in a cast for 30 days didn't heal it She underwent surgery to put plates in to hold her radius and ulna in place while it healed and after those 30 days the xray yesterday showed that her bone isn't healing. It is instead disappearing which is how the ortho doc put it. He basically said that amputation of the leg would probably be best. I just feel a little lost because I've been through so much with her I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing if I amputate her leg. I want her to be ok.
