While getting rid of stuff,we also started a new rule at our house. If you bring something in , two things must go. Buy a pair of shoes then two items from your closet must go and two socks does not count.
Everytime I start to purchase something for the house I have to think of two objects that I am willing to get rid of.
I am still going through what came in our house when I cleaned out my parents house. I'm hoping that by the time all of my kids move out and take their stuff with them, I will have things trimmed down enough for a smaller house.
The only place that this does not apply is the three little furgirls wardrobe. |
