when I "use" to do thanksgiving dinner it was non traditional lol. maybe I too was /am a rebel lol. Since it's only me and the pup, we always get invites, but I always make a tray of lasagna. I would do cake or pastries, but, no bakeries here in The Pocono's. In Ny there was an Italian bakery on just about every other block. Supermarket enterman cakes to me are soooo tacky, so it's a tray of lasagna.
